Here in the Michigan Conference Father’s Day gets eclipsed by camp meeting. We are helping your church remember Father’s Day before camp meeting!

Here is the plan:

Show the Father’s Day Videos-

“Father’s Day Resources” video on Sabbath, May 27th allowing 5 minutes to show it.

Father’s Day Sabbath, June 3rd in Michigan Conference churches show the one-minute “Glad Your My Dad.”

Print out-

The “To the Best Dad Ever” Father’s Day postcard and have the children’s Sabbath School teachers lead the children in personalizing the card. The children present the cards to their dads when they see them.

Order the blank yellow stickers-

Order your 2 1/2 inch round stickers from an office supply store today to make sure they arrive in time for Father’s Day Sabbath, June 3. Order in quantities for two or three years to get the price break and so you don’t have to order each year. Unless you go to a specialized printer or a large office supply store, they will not be in stock the same day.

It takes planning and effort to honor fathers, but our families and churches need engaged fathers. They don’t happen automatically. The world around us tells us by its dysfunction that our society is not nurturing fatherhood.
