have unique needs. “Behind Closed Doors: The Reality of
Human Trafficking” on May 8th at 11:30 a.m. is an online
learning experience for any and everyone.

Human trafficking survivors require healthcare that is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive to their needs. Coordination is needed between health providers and statutory and voluntary organizations. Attendees will be educated on the legal definition of sex trafficking, top 3 ways victims are recruited into sex trafficking, the impact of sex trafficking in Michigan, behavioral characteristics of victims, methods of grooming, and how traffickers control victims physically & psychologically.
