DESCRIPTION:“Powerful Tools for Caregivers”\, a 6-week in-person workshop\, is free and designed for the non-professional\, informal family caregiver\, will be held on Wednesday afternoons\, September 13th through October 18th\, from 1:30-3:00 pm\, at Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice in Marquette. \nCaregivers will benefit from the workshop whether they are helping a parent\, spouse\, or friend living at home\, in long-term care or across the country.  The workshop focuses on self-care for the caregiver\, not on specific diseases or hands-on caregiving. \n“Powerful Tools for Caregivers” is offered by Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress (UPCAP) in partnership with Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice. There is no charge for this workshop\, but registration is required. Class size is limited. You are invited this September 16-23 to an event entitled “Jesus and Wholistic Sexuality:\nMinistering with Biblical Confidence in a LGBTQ World” at the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church in\nBerrien Springs\, MI. The event is designed to help answer your questions about what the Bible says\nabout gender\, to teach a Christ-centered approach to sexual wholeness\, and to encourage those who\nare personally struggling with purity issues. In addition to being blessed by the expertise of doctors and\npastors\, you will be inspired by the personal testimonies of those who have had the helping hand of\nJesus work in their own lives. This week of spiritual emphasis will be broadcast on social media. There\nwill also be a two-day conference aimed at equipping pastors and elders to handle identity issues\, and a\n5-day private event called “Coming Together LIVE” for individuals pursuing sexual integrity and their\nloved ones.
