DESCRIPTION:12-week Plant-based Diet Program\nAre you interested in learning how to transition to a plant-based diet\, lose weight\, decrease your blood pressure\, and/or decrease your cholesterol levels? You are invited to participate in a free project involving a 12-week plant-based diet program\, which will be conducted one day per week for 12 weeks through Zoom technology. \nTo be eligible\, you must be 18 or older\, be interested in adopting a plant-based diet\, have a need to lose weight\, have a primary care provider\, have access to zoom technology\, and live in northern Michigan. \nA $25 gift certificate will be given to anyone who completes the program. \nIf interested\, please email Nadine Larcher for more information at larcher@andrews.edu or call 316-558-1158.  The program begins March 27 and ends June 12th. \nRegistration deadline is March 21st  \n \nFor more local events\, visit our calendar!

DESCRIPTION:Join the Escanaba Seventh-day Adventist Church for an evening of praise & worship through a Live Concert\, presented by Matt & Josie Minikus  on April 9th at 7:00 p.m. \nAt the concert\, Matt & Josie share some of the inspiration behind their songs\, parts of their testimony\, and what they have seen of the beauty of God. They play a variety of instruments\, but the main instruments are piano and guitar. \nThe concert is approximately seventy-five minutes. However\, program length can vary. \nMatt & Josie’s music has been well received by people of all ages and backgrounds. The concert experience is great for encouraging your local church family and an excellent way to reach out to your community as well. \nIf you would like\, you can purchase them at Matt & Josie’s website. \nMatt and Josie are a husband and wife team based in the Kalkaska\, MI area. Since beginning their ministry as full-time touring musicians in 2010\, they have had the opportunity to travel and sing extensively throughout North America\, Europe\, the United Kingdom\, and Australia. Their music is a contemporary-folk blend of vocals\, guitar\, piano\, and a variety of other instruments. As singer-songwriters\, they are passionate about writing meaningful\, thought-provoking lyrics and beautiful melodies.
